1. Introduction

Your privacy is our priority. This Privacy Policy explains how Resume App (“This App”) handles your information. We do not show ads, sell your data, or use advertising identifiers.

 

2. Data Collection & Storage

We do not require you to register or create an account to use the app. The personal data you enter (e.g., name, experience, photos) is stored strictly locally on your device, and we do not store your resume data on our servers. While we do not collect your data, please note that if you have device backups enabled (e.g., iCloud, Google Drive), your app data may be included in your personal cloud backup managed by your device operating system.

 

3. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Features

We use OpenAI (ChatGPT) to provide optional resume enhancement and resume parsing features. When you upload an existing resume (PDF, Word, or image), the entire file is sent to OpenAI for extraction, which may include personal details such as your name, email, phone number, and address; this data is used solely to extract and return your resume content to the app. For AI features like summarization and enhancement, only the text you explicitly provide for that specific task (e.g., your work experience details) is processed, and your "Contact Info" fields are not sent. Data sent to the AI is used solely to generate the response, is not used to train their models, and is not stored on our servers.

 

4. Purchases, Attribution, and Product Analytics

Purchases: We use RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and verify subscription access. RevenueCat receives anonymous identifiers and purchase transaction statuses; it does not receive your resume content.

Product Analytics: We use privacy-focused analytics (hosted on Cloudflare) to collect pseudonymous app-usage data (such as feature completion, crash diagnostics, device locale, and template selections). We do not collect IP addresses, IDFA, or any personal resume contents.

Campaign Attribution: On iOS, we use Apple’s AdServices framework to measure aggregate download and ad conversion performance without tracking you across third-party apps.

Data Retention: Pseudonymous analytics and performance logs are stored securely and retained for up to six months, with aggregate reporting data kept longer for legal and operational recordkeeping.

 

5. Data Sharing

Resume data leaves your device only when you choose to share/export it or use an optional AI feature described above. Limited purchase and analytics data is processed by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, and Apple Ads solely for the purposes described in this policy, and we do not sell it.

 

6. Your Rights and Choices

Because your data is stored locally, you maintain total control to view, edit, or delete your data at any time, and uninstalling the app permanently removes all local data (subject to your personal OS backups).
